I just got the new iPhone 3G S and am making up ring tones for it. I’ve gone through the itunes process of creating an .AAC file then converting the .m4a to an .m4r file. I drag and drop the file into my itunes, then drag and drop the file into my ring tones folder on my iphone.
Now heres the dilemma.. its not appearing on my iPhone! When i ’sync automatically’ nothing seems to sync at all onto the phone, not even my itunes. I have to choose the manual option, and when i do this my music does appear on my phone.. but just not in the custom ring tone section!
Is .m4r the right extension? is there something i’m not doing or is this a manufacture block with the new iphones to force you to buy off itunes?
plz help.. pulling hair out really.
